I haven’t yet settled down to attempt an edit on my first short story of a couple of days ago. It seems to me that to edit is much more difficult than to write first time. Is that generally so?
The idea comes, it pours out onto the keyboard. And there it is.
I tinker with the words. The idea secretes itself among the mocking letters. I turn them over but the idea stubbornly plays hide and seek.
But which idea? There were many (and many more as yet unwritten).
To hell with it; I’ll write a haiku around one of them.

Hi there! I realize this is sort of off-topic however I
had to ask. Does managing a well-established website such as yours require a lot of work?
I am completely new to running a blog but I do write in my journal daily.
I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share my experience and feelings online. Please let me know if you have any kind of suggestions or tips for new aspiring blog owners. Thankyou!

I was a bit suspicious of the username this had come from – ‘automated blogging’ – and going to it I went to a notice from blog.com that the site had been suspended due to violation. So, are you real?
If so, I’d say that if you write in your journal daily then you shouldn’t find managing a blog much trouble, once it’s set up of course. WordPress is, in my experience, very good except that often their descriptions/instructions are not so good; I suspect this is because they are, in general, computer people not writing people, particularly not technical writing people.

I really found you by error, while I was browsing on Askjeeve
for something else, Regardless I am here now and would just like to say

Thanks so much. The haiku frame of mind seems to grab me from time to time. I tried to go over to what I thought must be your blog/site but it wouldn’t work, so I’m sending you an email and hopes that reaches you. Thanks very much again for your kind words.

I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was good.
I don’t know who you are but certainly you’re going to a
famous blogger if you aren’t already 😉 Cheers!

Thanks Denisha. I’ve had an enforced break from blogging since August but hope to be able to restart soon. R x

Thanks for this Marie.
If you are “beginning to love haiku” you might like to look at a couple of blogs which I follow:
The one which started me penning them recently:

and another which I enjoy following:

You can say I made the suggestion if you wish.
The postman just brought 7 rolls of B&W 35mm film for Romania – leaving for ten days there in a week. And of course I’ll be packing two rolls of Astia. I wish I could take the 6×9 Mamiya but too much weight.
I’ll maybe do a post about my photo preparations for my photographer followers – there are one or two.
