Odd weather yesterday (Wednesday) so with that depressing grey light in the morning, threatening continuation of the heavy rain of the day before, and “Arctic” conditions forecast for the weekend, we decided to do a ‘big shop’ in the morning, visiting two supermarkets.
The afternoon brought almost black clouds alternating with bright sun for just a few minutes so we decided to take a walk and risk getting very wet. It didn’t rain, well hardly, so we enjoyed probably the last of the autumn colours on one of the few local walks not involving a hill, about an hour and half not hurrying.
I should have taken a camera but, as I’ve said before, I’m ‘off’ photography at the moment so just slipped the iPad in my pocket; you’ll see the limitations in some of the pictures. Petronela wouldn’t be satisfied with that so took her Nikon.

Wonderful pictures and Petronela is indeed a looker :). With my friends I have a private joke that “I am always right”. I was. You do live in The Shire. If you have mushrooms 😉 it is definitely the Shire.
Also I am happy for your beautiful weather. Here there was a polar maelstrom and now it is just plain cold. And last week I was basking in the sun at 27-30 degrees.

As you must know, we tykes call it ‘God’s own country’. Petronela doesn’t say I’m always right but she does say I know everything 😂; oddly enough we had a discussion about that yesterday. I then reminded her of my secret. Weather sounds similar to that here.

Indeed your county deserves the name. I am pestering you about The Shire as I am an absolute fan and admirer of Tolkien.
I totally agree with Petronela :). I also know everything 😂 with the exception of Chemistry (In high-school I could barely pass the finals) and Taekwondo, but there is still time 🙂 😉

Now that really is something astounding. I absorbed physics and maths like an ever dry sponge (my maths teacher told my younger brother that I was the laziest student he ever had; I didn’t do any work because I didn’t need to (97% in my final exam) but chemistry was completely beyond me. I had to work at it very hard to scrape through as necessary to take up my scholarship to study physics at university.
We must have been born under the same star (not necessarily astrological) 😉😘

Yes, it is astounding 🙂 I was very good at Maths and Physics, and I used to catch the information from thin air, only that for Maths I worked a lot out of pleasure and for the sake of contests. At that period of time I was very disappointed about my failure in chemistry. I survived 🙂
We have a lot in common, indeed 😉😘
